Parsa Duo with Elisabeth Remy Johnson
Elisabeth Remy Johnson and Henderson met as young students in Boston in the fall of 1986. They grew up musically surrounded by extraordinary teachers, working and performing together in youth orchestras and chamber music groups throughout the late ’80s and early ’90s. As adults both left the Boston area and forged their own paths as musicians, Dale working to revitalize classical music through teaching, performance, and Bach in the Subways, and Elisabeth becoming the Principal Harpist for the Atlanta Symphony.
Unexpectedly and joyfully reconnected in early 2015 through their work on Bach in the Subways, Dale and Elisabeth determined to form a duo dedicated single-mindedly to cultivating the fun and inspiration that were so much a part of the music making they shared in their student years. The Parsa Duo was born. Summer of 2015 saw the launch of their inaugural program in New York and New England, and in 2016 they presented a richly varied program in Boston and Yarmouth Port. Further programs and projects are planned for 2017 and beyond.
